Starting Monday, June 12, through Friday, September 1, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Philmont Avenue between Red Lion Road and Tomlinson Road in Lower Moreland Township

The Montgomery County Board of Elections has petitioned the Court of Common Pleas for a hearing regarding the proposed ward realignment. The County has posted similar notices to the one below throughout the Township based on the locations where the ward boundaries may change. This includes areas within the current Wards 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 and is in compliance with the Municipal Reapportionment Act.

The 2022 Real Estate tax year is coming to a close. The Tax Office will only be open on Thursday, December 29th from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm to accept tax payments Personal checks will not be accepted for payment of the real estate taxes now through December 31st. If you are unable to make it into the office you may also mail in your payments postmarked by December 31, 2022, and again personal checks will not be accepted. Curbside Collection Loose leaves should be placed curbside for collection as early as possible, and during collection weeks must be placed curbside by 7:00 a.m. Monday morning. Leaves are to be left on the edge of the property and not in the street. Do not place stones, branches or brush in leaf piles.

The Board of Commissioners of Lower Moreland Township will hold special meetings on Thursday, October 6, 2022 beginning at 6:00 p.m. and Tuesday, October 25, 2022 and Tuesday, November 1, 2022 beginning at 5:00 p.m. for the purpose of reviewing the proposed 2023 Budget and any other business that may come before the Board. The Lower Moreland Township Board of Commissioners will review an amended sketch plan application for the property located at 3262 Huntingdon Pike at their September 13, 2022 meeting. The application, submitted by Wei Wang is proposing a 4-lot subdivision. This is an amended Sketch Plan for the 5-lot sketch plan application that was previously reviewed by the Board of Commissioners at their April 12, 2022 meeting. As was in the case with the previous sketch plan review, please note that this is a Sketch Plan review, so there is no vote for or against such plan, but rather an opportunity to provide feedback and information.

The Lower Moreland Township Board of Commissioners will be reviewing a Conditional Use application submitted by the Lower Moreland Township School District on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. The application seeks permission for the District’s busing contractor to provide private charters for non-school related events.
