The Lower Moreland Police Department is looking for a new crossing guard at St. Albert the Great School located at 214 Welsh Road in Huntingdon Valley. The start date would be in September of 2026 for the new school year, however, if the person hired is available, we may seek to have them trained by the retiring crossing guard prior to June 12th, 2026. Pay for the position is $35 per day and includes 2 shifts, 7:15-8:15am and again at 2:30-3:30pm. Pay is only authorized on actual days worked. Generally, the position is Monday-Friday and the crossing guard gets weekends and school holidays off. Summers are also off!! Hours for half days or early dismissals would vary. This is considered a part-time position. Anyone interested in the position must be at least 18 years of age, be able to work rain or shine and have a High School Diploma or GED. Applicants must also be able to pass a police background check which includes a Criminal History Check. Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearances must be provided by any applicant.
