Tax Collector

Please note, given that the LOWER MORELAND TOWNSHIP BUILDING is closed to the general public, that means that the TAX COLLECTOR'S OFFICE is also closed to the general public. I am still collecting payments through mail delivery but in-person payments cannot be accepted at this time. Cash WILL NOT be accepted when the Township building reopens.

I request for your safety as well as my safety that you pay by personal check or bank check and mail in your payments either in the envelope provided or a regular envelope addressed to Tax Collector, Lower Moreland Township, 640 Red Lion Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006. Please be aware that we have been told to bag all mail as it is received and then hold it for 3 days to limit contamination. Please note that this will delay the processing of payments and checks clearing your accounts.

If you have questions or concerns you can reach me via email at lowermoreland.taxcollector@gmail.com. The office phone number is 215-947-7661, which you can call during regular hours.
Thank you,
Jane Ann Saile, Tax Collector

The Tax Collector is an elected position serving a four year term. While the Tax Collector's office is located in the Lower Moreland Township municipal building for the convenience of local tax payers, the Tax Collector is independent of Lower Moreland Township oversight.

Important Information Regarding Your Tax Bills
  • If a bank or mortgage company pays your real estate taxes for you, please forward your bill to them.
  • In order to earn discounts and avoid penalties, payments must be hand delivered or postmarked by the U.S. Postal Service on or before the payment due date as shown on the bills.
  • Taxes are due and payable as prescribed by law, whether or not a tax bill has been received by the taxpayer.
  • Payments can be made by cash, money order, check, or credit card. Credit cards do carry a fee of 2.45% payable by the cardholder.
  • Any payments made after December 10th of each year must be paid by certified check, cashier's check, money order or cash.
  • Any unpaid real estate accounts, when delinquent, will be turned over for delinquent tax collection.
  • Should the office be closed when you come in to pay your bill, please note there is a lock box outside the tax office where payments other than cash may be deposited. Please do not leave any payments with Township employees, as they are not bonded to accept these payments.
