Public Works
Located on Heaton Road, the Lower Moreland Township Public Works Department is responsible for maintaining the physical appearance of our Township and keeping all public facilities and services in functional operating condition. In addition to servicing the Township's many parks, the Public Works Department, year round, maintains the safety of driving conditions through numerous paving projects, street sweeping on Township roads and repairing various street signs and lighting apparatus.
On any given day, a trip to Ridgway or Elkins Park might include a Public Works employee fixing a fence, mowing the playing fields, or fertilizing the grass. During the Autumn, Public Works provides leaf collection services for Lower Moreland residents, and in the winter, all roads are plowed free of snow and salted in a timely fashion.
With more than 6 square miles of ground, the hard work of Lower Moreland Township's Public Works team keeps our neighborhoods attractive and our facilities fully operational.
